Job Description

The Vehicle Group Headquarters in Galesburg, MI is looking for a Quality Analyst Co-op for Spring/Summer 2018.
 
Co-ops will be assigned to one of 2 assignments within the regional Quality team. Both assignments will manage customer quality metrics and projects to improve customer satisfaction, cost, and profitability while  engaging in problem solving and project activities relating to quality. 
 
 
Assignment Descriptions:
  • Customer Focus/Warranty:
    • The key aspects and responsibilities of the Quality Analyst are as follows:
      • Help create and report Customer Focus quality metrics including:
        • Customer Scorecards
        • 8D related problem solving
        • ZMPDs & LMPD reports
        • Change Control (Throughput, PPAP COE, etc.)
        • Warranty claim processing
        • Warranty tracking, implement warranty process in light duty
      • Work with change leaders in to develops a Route with the assistance and input from the Implementation Team.
      • Work with change leaders to actively monitor and implement changes as required.
  • Navistar Analyst:
    •  The key aspects and responsibilities of the Quality Analyst are as follows:
      • Help create and report Customer Focus quality metrics including:
        • Customer Scorecards
        • PPAP Timing reports (on-time vs. past due)
        • 8D related problem solving
        • ZMPDs & LMPD reports
        • Change Control (VAVE, Throughput, PPAP COE, etc.)
      • Actively works with OEM Specialists for Open 8Ds and problem solving activities
      • Actively works with OEM Specialists on active projects:
        • Supplier / Customer PPAPs
        • Long Term Pass Through Characteristics and Weak Detection
      • Work with change leaders to actively monitor and implement changes as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering
  • This position does not offer relocation. Must reside within 50 miles of Galesburg, MI
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (please do not round)
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
  • Focused attention to detail and sound analytical skills
  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Industrial Engineering
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) proficiently (Experience with pivot tables and data analysis preferred)
