Job Description

The incumbent to this position for a given area and/or business segment, is the first line contact for outside sales force, agents, distributors, contractors, and end users. 
This position also has the understanding of the pricing structure and terminology to aid in performing pricing functions that relate to the administration of pricing request and resolution of quotation discrepancies.

Essential Functions:
  • Heavy telephone contact with Wiring Devices customers and Sales Reps
  • Assisting customers and Sales Reps with inquiries in regards to products that are available
  • Taking orders, proofing orders, preparing orders for entry and expediting orders
  • Run reports for customers and sales agents
  • Educate customers about EDI
  • Order entry, order changes and order follow-up in on-line order system
  • Providing order and product information to customers
  • Managing customer orders and backorders using reports and follow-up methods
  • Interfacing with other Wiring Devices facilities, departments and personnel to facilitate customer   requirements and solve issues
  • Assisting customers with merchandising, sales aids and returned goods request
  • Assisting other Customer Service Reps, Team Leaders and department managers with department work and meeting department goals
  • Representing Wiring Devices in a professional and caring manner with all internal and external customers


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the work location will be considered
  • Minimum 1 year experience that involves ability to run reports for customers whether internal or external
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work well with people, remain courteous and tactful even in stressful situations with external and internal contacts.
  • The customer service representative must be knowledgeable in the use of PC’s including current software programs, e-mailing, document imaging, systems and database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business  from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year working in a call center environment is a plus
