Job Description

Reporting to the Divisional Vice President, Operations. Leader for a global manufacturer of electrical products, tools, and hardware products with revenues over $750 million and facilities in the US and abroad.  The Division Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for development of a plan which drives process and business improvement across the division. This position will lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives based on this plan ensuring that improvement activities are in alignment with business challenges and cost out targets.
He/she will also provide:
  • Subject matter expertise for the purposes of knowledge transfer to employees at all levels,
  • Develop and maintain training curriculum and materials for deployment and development,
  • Teach principles, concepts and practical use of methods and tools to all levels of the organization,
  • Provide coaching on lean/six sigma implementation, leadership, and philosophies, and
  • Drive continuous improvement division wide. 


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) in Engineering, Business, or other technical discipline
  • Manufacturing (5+ yrs)
  • Lean practitioner (5+ yrs.)
  • Lean Certification
  • Strong knowledge of Toyota production systems.
  • Lead role in successful lean transformation within an operation of significant size
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing improvements with significant cost savings
  • Proven experience facilitating and leading Kaizens.
  • Broad manufacturing experience
  • Ability to travel 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Master Black Belt or Black Belt Certification.
  • Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or Power Tools Manufacturing
  • International experience
  • Foreign language capability (particularly Spanish)
