Job Description

Provides support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, and special projects. Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. Prepares reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.

 
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage and administer plans and/or programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support organizational objectives.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Support the deployment of the Eaton culture, policies, vision, goals, values, ethics, initiatives and leadership model to ensure a great workplace environment.
2) Support Plant HR Manager on Industrial Relation activities and its programs for employee engagement and development , Councils
3) Assure and enhance relationship with employees and support their development.  Formulate workforce strategy to ensure a conducive work environment
4) Lead administration of all welfare facilities provided to employees including Health, Insurance policy , Canteen , Transport and House Keeping in line with 5S Systems etc.
5) Responsible for end to end statutory compliances of land including – labor legislations, social legislations, etc. Liaison  with government officers – factory inspector, ESIC, PF, Labor office
6) Lead disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries& court cases
7) Support manpower planning i.e. Flexible Workforce, Contingent workforce  activities in line with business requirement and provide guidance to stakeholders to plan their manpower requirements effectively
8) Responsible for Time office and Payroll processing activities accurately in timely manner
9) Administer compensation and other benefits for all employees including bargain able level.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Excellent work ethic and experience in working in unionized manufacturing set up is must.
  • Ability to handle the grievances , counsel and create the win win situation.
  • In depth  knowledge of Labour Laws, legal compliance procedures is essential.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve the employee issues necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum experience of 12 – 15 years with working knowledge HR processes & practices in preferably manufacturing industry
  • Post Graduate with an additional Diploma is Labour Laws is essential.
  • Excellent communication and computer operating skills
  • Ability to operate specialized functions of MS Power Point, MS Excel is a must
