Job Description

Eaton located in Kings Mountain, NC has a position description for a Maintenance Technician – Afternoon Shift (3pm-11:20pm Monday- Friday). This position is located in Kings Mountain, NC and candidates must be willing to relocate to the area. Relocation benefits provided. 
Position Overview:
The primary function of this position is to maintain, troubleshoot and continuously improve plant equipment availability to help achieve plant’s business goals and objectives. Work with engineering and other plant functions to implement safety, quality, efficiency and capital projects. This position is located in Kings Mountain, NC, relocation benefits are provided. Candidate must be willing to relocate. 
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair Fanuc robot and controls
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair NC/CNC equipment
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot PLC and drive systems
  • Comprehend electric/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to rebuild/repair equipment.
  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance as required.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals.    
  • Must have professional conduct and good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Maximo asset management software is a plus
  • Experience with predictive maintenance such as infrared, ultrasound technologies a plus
  • Experience with Siemens/Fanuc NC systems; Allen Bradley PLC a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD a plus


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance with CNC machines.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US on an on-going basis without company sponsorship.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or certificate in industrial maintenance
  • Experience with AutoCAD a plus
  • Experience with Siemens/Fanuc NC systems Allen Bradley PLC a plus
  • Experience with predictive maintenance such as infrared, ultrasound technologies a plus
  • Working knowledge of Maximo asset management software is a plus
