Eaton is taking initial strides in implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for its functions and shared service centers across the globe. IT function will be taking a lead in building capability to aid RPA deployment.
 
This role will be part of Eaton’s IT – ADQS CoE - QA team focusing on RPA and will be a key member of the RPA development team responsible for RPA development using the Automation Anywhere tool, unit testing and supporting production deployments. . The RPA Senior Analyst will have strong knowledge of Automation Anywhere tool set. He/she will be responsible for technical solution design and development of RPA Solution.

List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
 
 
 
 
 
 
  1. Demonstrate leadership in technical design with ability to identify multiple alternatives to develop and then suggest the best approach considering the situation/need.
  2. Work closely with Architects to define design, development and peer review standards. Take ownership of implementing them. Promote modularization (Metabots) and reuse of code.
  3. Translate requirements into technical representations allowing customers/BA to understand how proposed design/solution will meet their requirements.
  4. Work closely with business analyst, developers, functional experts (business) and project manager to ensure development is according to approved requirements.
  5. Ensure high quality delivery through development and testing (Unit & Integration). Supports PM/BA during user acceptance testing events and schedules.
  6. Prepares and provides training as required to business process owners and other key stakeholders.
  7. Effectively communicates the status for deliverables to project management and leadership to effectively mitigate risks and resolve issues
  8. Continue to act as business liaison even after Go Live of automation – with an intent to enhance and improve. Also in the initial period (< 1 year) act as support lead to take care of issues in Production.
  9. Explore new capabilities of the tool to meet business needs through Proof of concepts, connecting with Automation Anywhere Support team, exploring on Internet – should be inquisitive to solve business problems.
  10. Will be responsible for multiple Projects in parallel across geographies primarily leveraging agile/sprint methodology.
  11. Will be owning the Bot Creator & Runner infrastructure. Ensuring BOT runners are available all the time and/or creating backups where required.

Qualifications

Overall 5-8 years of experience with minimum 1-2 years of RPA development experience in Automation Anywhere (prior technical experience can be in .NET, Java or in other software languages)
 
Technical experience in ERPs (Oracle or SAP or other primary ERP systems) & CRM (Customer Relationship Management) strongly desired
Knowledge of Project Management discipline (waterfall and agile models) and System Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels of the Organization. This position will often work with senior leaders within Business and IT.
Solid critical thinking/analytical and problem solving skills, especially in cross functional environment.
Strong Business and Analytical skill for complex problem solving, demonstrated ability to understand the business problem and to use technical skills to research and resolve.
Experience in performing gap analysis, root cause analysis, verification planning preferred
Ability to influence and lead others in Process change and adherence
