Sales and Marketing Center (SMC) partners with multiple Eaton businesses across different geographies to deliver incremental value and drive growth by providing best in class solutions and practices through its five integral CoEs  - Sales Analytics & Market Research [SAMR], Creative CoE, Customer Services [CS], Master Data Management [MDM] and Pricing CoE. Essential Function:

 

 A.         Understand business challenges and explore opportunities to present actionable analysis. Develop information research and analysis methodology by partnering with business to validate the secondary research findings and scrutinizing them with company’s business/ market/ product/ technology leaders.

B.         Employ logic and tools in reporting to provide predictive analysis, track technological developments which may impact the business and provide inputs for strategic plans.

C.         Develop market analysis to illustrate market size/share/growth globally and by region for key markets.

D.         Conduct studies to determine sales trends, market share, and operating profit with the intention to identify opportunities to grow sales, strengthen market share, and increase profitability.

E.         Apply specific tactical information discovery, including answers to questions about specific costs, technology, and product information.

F.         Create white papers, press releases and other documents requiring technical writing in collaboration with the divisional subject matter experts.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Master degree in Marketing/Finance or any other streams with minimum three years of experience in Market Research and Consulting.

  • Primary and secondary research experience 

  • Well-read on a wide variety of subjects and should have the ability to interpret global macro-economic factors which impact economics, politics and business environment in general.

  • Experience with market trends, customer expectations and economic analysis as provided by internal and external data sources

  • Able to articulate insights in a concise way, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to translate complex reports and analyses into simple ‘business speak’ and present results to internal customers up to the SLT level.

  • Ability to connect the dots and generate insights, prioritize business questions and recommendations.
