HR Manager - Finland & Baltics
location: Espoo, Finland
You will manage all activities related to HR for the Eaton Electrical Power Quality and Electronics facility in Espoo, Finland as well as the Eaton Electrical Sales organizations in Finland and the Baltics.
Your responsibilities include talent management, employee development, compensation, employee relations, HR change management. You will navigate within a matrix environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Leads local HR initiatives ensuring that HR plans are aligned with division and local goals and have effective and robust change management and communication plans for all key stakeholders.
  • Works with managers to assess talent needs, providing analysis and input to facilitate the achievement of business plans and financial targets.  Ensures that positions are filled quickly with the best talent.  Fosters a culture of manager ownership and accountability of the talent selection process.
  • Builds capability in the organization through proactive and robust performance management and development planning at all levels in the organization.  Maintains site and functional development and training plans. Ensures that effective succession plans are in place.
  • Drives HR functional excellence through deployment of Eaton programs, ensuring quality of process and content and alignment with internal Eaton Business Systems. 
  • Tracks key HR metrics in accordance with site and division key business objectives.  Benchmarks industry and local best practices to set stretch performance targets.
  • Drives positive employee relations by developing comprehensive communications plans.  Effectively coaches and counsels employees and managers, promoting individual ownership, accountability and resolution.
  • Assures compliance of human resources activities with applicable country and company specifications, collective agreements, laws and requirements.
  • Acts as Category Champion for internal categories.
  • Acts as Category expert for: Leadership, deployment & communication.
  • Supports EHS Manager.


  • Masters University Degree, preferably HR or business related
  • HR experience, preferably in an operational position at a managerial level
  • Demonstrated, solid knowledge of Finnish HR labor laws and collective organizational practices
  • Solid Employee Relations experience and solid functional HR knowledge
  • Must be fluent in Finnish and English
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and thoughts to people at all levels of the organization
  • A “can do” approach
