Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Group is seeking a Distribution Operations Site Manager . The Distribution Operations Site Manager will be based at our Fontana, CA facility.
 
Position Overview:
The Distribution Operations Site Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of a high volume order fulfillment distribution center, as well as providing functional excellence support for the divisional facilities. This position will ensure product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment operations through the optimization of resources and processes while achieving key safety, quality, cost, and engagement performance. The Distribution Operations Site Manager role will drive the operation, development, and implementation of key processes to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures. By using continual process improvement tools (such as Lean and Six Sigma), the Distribution Operations Site Manager will lead employee initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the company.

  • In depth knowledge of the material handling equipment options for distribution and optimization of the life and use of the equipment.
  • In depth knowledge of the various storage medium and configurations, as well as slotting and consolidation tools and operations, in order to maximize distribution location footprint
  • In depth knowledge of process flow and value stream mapping to drive optimization of people, tools, and resources.
  • Experience with fully integrated and automated Warehouse Management Systems both for core process and slotting.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems also a plus.
  • An understanding of logistics and carrier performance to drive improvements in service to our customers and overall freight spend.
  • Financial planning and forecasting skills, for budget oversight and to project results of improvement or risk in operations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum 7 years supply chain, logistics or distribution center experience.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
  • No relocation Is being provided. Candidates must live within a 50 mile radius of the Fontana, CA facility to be considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High volume/Multi shift operation with large employee population experience.
  • Lean Certified.
  • Quality Systems/ISO certification experience.
