Eaton’s Power Electronics Division has an opening for an experienced and ambitious: 

Sales Engineer DACH- Rail, Automotive, Marine
Location: Ottersweier, Germany- Home Office 

to join our divisional sales team in Germany. Our new sales colleague will manage the assigned customer base to increase sales of Power Electronic product ranges, provide sales and technical assistance to distributors, contractors, and internal personnel. New incumbent will identify new opportunities across the industrial sectors of Rail ,Automotive and Marine that benefit from our high quality innovative products. He/she will be working from home (any location in Germany) with regular customer visits.

Here is an idea of what you will spend your time doing: 

  • You will develop business and sell assigned product lines to targeted customers in a targeted Market Area in order to:
    • optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin 
    • drive increase in sales in the marketplace
    • manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance with distributors, customers, end users, and specifiers 
    • develop a proven record of achieving assigned sales quota
  • You will prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company Terms and Conditions after approval of the management
  • You will support total quality and delivery performance by providing timely and accurate information for order entry and elevating quality issues to attention of management
  • You will collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences, and buying habits in order to :
  • You need to understand market segments
  • You will identify, prospect and develop new strategic customers
  • You will identify new sales opportunities on the market
  • You will also provide customer forecast to management for the current and next year
  • As part of the business development activity for the assigned product range and on a secondary level, you will help to identify opportunities on the rail market for all Eaton divisions and provide support to specialized distributor primarily for Martek product range, as such, you will :
    • introduce the complete portfolio of products in the rail, 
    • coordinate with the local Country Sales Organization and products experts who will then take the lead.

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business or similar
  • Technical background, preferably electrical
  • 5+ years of Sales experience in a multinational environment
